The Sacrifice

“The Sacrifice” is a very short and simple song with a very powerful message- Jesus has done everything for you, will you not give Him all? The appeal God makes to our hearts is not one of forced compliance to His will. Rather, God lavishes His love on us in such a profound way that it would seem impossible not to respond. What should we do having been given such great love? Jesus held nothing back for us, loves us completely, and proved it at the cross. As Paul says, “The love of Christ compels us…”

“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” -2 Corinthians 5:14-15
