The Brightest Star

“The Brightest Star” is one of the first songs I wrote as a new Christian- It’s a love song to Jesus.

When I met Christ it was a revelation in every sense of the word. There were so many things that my eyes were suddenly opened to! But of all the things I came to see, there was nothing that could compare to the love of God in Jesus Christ. He literally enveloped me in His love and captivated my heart by the great outpouring of His love. The scriptures are telling the truth when they say that God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Spirit He has given us! The God we claim to know is not some distant Deity out there in the universe, He is personable, intimate, alive and full of love. If you’ve never known that, or tasted it for yourself- pray! Ask that you might come to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge. If you once knew it but have gone cold- pray! Ask that you might know once again the immeasurable love of Christ!
