The Resurrection

I’ve been busy with new music lately so I haven’t had a lot of time to get over here and post. But I had to share this…

The resurrection of Jesus.

I woke up this Easter morning thinking of His resurrection. I’m not big on holidays, and I get why some Christians don’t celebrate them at all… The early Church didn’t, and there’s certainly no place in the bible telling us to celebrate these special days… but there’s also nothing wrong with taking a day and remembering what Jesus did… especially when it’s something as monumental as rising from the dead and wiping away all our sins!

But the resurrection was about more than just wiping away our sins; it was about more than just Jesus rising from the dead…

This morning it was all really personal. I woke with a big smile on my face thinking of my mother. Mom died just over 9 years ago after a 2 year battle with cancer.

And yet she lives!

You see, being a Christian is not just about being forgiven, it’s about being given eternal life, and that’s what Jesus gave us when He rose from the dead- Life that does not come to an end.

Because of Jesus death lost it’s power- Death is not the end for those who are in Christ Jesus.

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die'”. -John 11:25
