Testing 1,2,3- Is Donald Trump A Christian?

Religiosity hit an all time low recently when many who call themselves Christian decided Donald Trump is not one because he quoted 2 Corinthians 3:17 as “Two” Corinthians instead of “Second” Corinthians. Reasoning that a real believer would know how those in the camp speak, Trump was called out as a poser.

Really? That’s your test for deciding if Trump is a Christian?

He was speaking at Liberty University, a well known Christian college, when he used the term “in the wrong way” according to students gathered to hear him speak.

Someone needs to tell the students at Liberty (and the rest of the Christian internet buzzing about this) to lighten up a little! Is this what being a Christian is all about? Does Jesus really care if you say “two” or “second” when quoting the bible? Maybe Trump should just follow Paul’s example the next time he takes to referencing the Word of God.

“But there is a place where someone has testified: “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him?” -Hebrews 2:6

If vague imprecise references are good enough for an Apostle, they’re certainly good enough for Trump… “But there is a place where someone has testified…” Just be really general and nonspecific. Of course, you know as well as I, that doing so would bring down a torrent of criticism. “Yeah, Trump claims to be a Christian but can’t even come up with chapter and verse. What’s all this someplace, somewhere, someone stuff?”

This, sadly, is the mindset of far too many in the Church today. We are way too religious for own good!
