Christian cliches, are always in style

I wanna be more like Jesus… it shouldn’t be like that

And in a moment when I’m face to face with God
I realize He sees right through this big facade

The simple truth is so hard to take
honesty costs too much, it’s easy being fake
and it shouldn’t be like that, it shouldn’t be like that
I wanna be more like Jesus, it shouldn’t be like that

And in a moment when I’m standing at the cross
this game seems foolish and at such enormous cost,
When finally pride gives way to grace I understand
Not even all of this could take me from His hand!

I wanna be close to God’s Son
To be found faithful, to be told well done

I wanna be like Him, I wanna be like Him
I wanna be like Jesus, Father make me just like Him!
