If we could only grasp how much Jesus loves us! The happiest day of my life is when I found Him. Nothing had changed around me... I had the same job, the same rusted out car, the same clothes... but everything had changed!

I was thinking of God's goodness and grace in my life one afternoon when I found myself overwhelmed by the feeling of what God's grace personally meant to me. "Amazing Grace- Thank You Jesus", is what came out. When I think of God's grace, I think of His tenderness, gentleness, and love. I decided to put up a couple mics and just record it unplugged as I felt it.
John Newton is the one who originally wrote the hymn and it was first published in 1779. No one really knows what his original melody was (or even if he wrote one) but his words have been put to various melodies throughout the years, finally settling into what we now know as the song "Amazing Grace"... which is really the music to a song called, "New Britain". (Who knew?) My version is called, "Amazing Grace- Thank You Jesus!" and I hope it captures the sweetness and gratefulness I feel for having been forgiven so much by Jesus Christ.
