Many people are dissatisfied with their church experience and are longing for something authentic and alive. They are right to feel that way, because Revelation chapters 2-3 tell us that God is also dissatisfied by this lack of life...

Jesus invites the lukewarm church to dinner!
We have an invitation to dine with Jesus! How can we just leave that out when we talk about the lukewarm church? Jesus asks you to have supper or breakfast with Him and you don't think that's worth mentioning?? More here.
Jesus is not religious... a personal note
My family didn't really understand when I became born again. Suddenly I was toting around a bible and talking about Jesus all the time. I used to wear a t-shirt that I had specially made that said, "Jesus is not religious!" I remember Mom saying to me, "What do you mean He's not religious? Of course He's religious!"...

Losing our way... the church that's all about us!
Is it any wonder so many people believe that church is the answer? We've made ourselves the focus! Our buildings, our programs, our denominations, and on and on... It's all about us and our manmade religion! Is it any wonder that people have come to believe that this is what spiritual life is all about?

Oprah and Jesus. The new age spiritual church?
I tried church, self help books, astrology, numerology, psychics, and even astral projection in my search for truth and ended up with Jesus! But are Oprah, Tolle, and many "Christians" actually following "another Jesus" that the bible warns us about?

I can't help but notice something that I think speaks volumes about the heart of God. This is very short, but every lukewarm church and lukewarm Christian needs to know this!

Are conversations about Jesus better than preaching?
I find it strange that people would question the idea of preaching, as if to say it was useless or even unbiblical. Aren’t we commanded in scripture to “preach the Word”? (2 Timothy 4.2). More here!
Nice Little Church
I wrote the song, Nice Little Church, while out for a walk one afternoon. It wasn’t written on a whim though. The theme of the song is actually something I’ve thought about since the early days of becoming a Christian. As I walked down the street that day, I turned to my left, and saw the church steeple that had marked part of my youth. I couldn’t help but think about how I’d gone there, and yet, never had a clue that I needed to be born again! More here

At the risk of sounding, “unspiritual”, the gathering of the New Testament Church is much more like a BBQ than a black tie affair. The gathering of the church is all about family. It’s not about a “special event” where we dress up to look the part. More here

We always think that everything we believe is straight out of the bible, but is it? Do you know how many times I’ve heard the statement, “Our church is just like the New Testament Church”? Honestly, I’ve always wondered how people can say that. Have you read Acts? More here

More thoughts on the song, "Nice Little Church"... The more I think about the lukewarm church, the more I'm convinced of God's mercy and heart to restore! I believe we're all in this together, and I include myself as one in need of renewal. If the church has become lukewarm it's because there's many you and me's out there that have fallen into that condition, but being lukewarm doesn't have to be the end of the story. More here
