Will you submit yourself to Jesus as King?
The question for the Christian is not ultimately about how to deal with sin. Jesus defeated sin! The real question for me and you is one of submission- Am I willing to submit to Christ as King? Am I truly willing to live in subjection to Him, and be under the rule of his kingdom… expressing it’s values, it’s rules, it’s ways and it’s authority?
Jesus is looking for people who will willingly submit to Him as King, and who will live according to His Kingdom while on this earth, not waiting until we get to heaven to obey. We are to repudiate this world’s kingdom along with it’s ways, and we are to uphold the Kingdom of God and it’s ways- THIS IS WHAT CHRIST IS LOOKING FOR!
Will I submit to Christ as King and come under the authority of His Kingdom? I’m being confronted to make a choice!
Do you see things in these terms? We are either rebels against His Kingdom or subjects of it- rebels against Jesus as King, or subject to Him.
