Can’t miss book picks on REVIVAL

I've been rereading my two favorite books on revival and can't recommend them highly enough.  Reading books like these will remind you of what the Christian life is meant to be! They will challenge you, convict you, inspire you, and motivate you to press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called you heavenward in Christ Jesus!

"Revival" by Martyn Lloyd-Jones is an excellent book on revival that is widely available.  Reading accounts of what God has done in the past is very revealing when compared to our present situation.  The reason so many accept the current low spiritual climate may be that they've never had their eyes opened to what is possible when God pours out His Spirit upon a dry individual or church.  This book is both convicting and inspiring, leading me to personally pray that God would start by reviving me!

Arthur Wallis's book is not as widely known, but oh, is it a good one!  This book goes straight to the heart of our condition, the need of repentance, prayer and the outpouring of God's Spirit in our lives.  It's extremely practical and there's no wasted filler; there are so many gems and truths here that it's almost impossible not to be ministered to!  Mr. Wallis also gives many examples of how God has moved on His people during past revivals.  It's convicting, but more so, inspiring.  Unfortunately this book is out of print and can be hard to obtain at a reasonable price, but copies can be found if you look hard enough.  It's well worth it!
